Kent Lucas managed more than $1 billion in global industrial equities at Capital Group and once spent a stretch as a professional poker player. He co-founded Non Sibi Ventures, an early-stage venture firm in Houston, Texas, where he is managing partner and built its AI strategy for industrial, mobility and technology markets.

Citibank and Brazil

He began his career at Citibank in corporate trust and municipal derivatives. As director of equity research for XP Investimentos in Brazil, he launched its fundamental research platform and helped open its office in New York, New York.

He holds a B.A. in economics from Harvard University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Why Non Sibi backed Satlyt

In October 2026 Non Sibi led the $8 million seed round for Satlyt, which builds software to run AI models on satellites. Lucas told TechCrunch that Satlyt's business "can just be driven by the number of satellites going up," without depending on data centers being built in space.
