How the hot score works
The hot score is out of 100.
Buzz is worth up to 40 points. It comes from press in the last 90 days, and newer coverage is worth more.
Raised is worth up to 25 points, on a log scale of disclosed capital, so one huge round cannot swamp the list.
Investors are worth up to 20 points, from the firms on the round. Better-known firms are worth more.
Reported traction is worth up to 15 points, and only when a source states a figure, such as revenue growth or a Product Hunt rank.
The table refreshes on Tuesday and Friday. A green up arrow means the rank rose since the previous snapshot. A red down arrow means the rank fell. A dash means the rank did not change. When two startups have the same score, they keep their order from the previous snapshot.
