Dextr AI
San Francisco company whose hotel agents handle guest messages, reservation calls, group bookings, and staff coordination, including a voice agent called Daisy and a guest agent called Alfred.
Hotel and vacation-rental operators that want agents on the reservation line and on guest messages, wired into the property management system they already run.
Brands that want a single install with no on-site engineering, or properties whose only need is a website chat widget.
Verdict
Dextr AI is a San Francisco company, founded in July 2025 by Sajid Shariff and Scott Arnold, that builds agents for hotels. Alfred handles guest questions and check-in and check-out. Daisy answers reservation calls. Later agents cover group bookings and staff coordination, and employees can text or call a companion named Doss. Hotels use the agents together, for example when a late arrival calls and Daisy checks the reservation while Alfred handles the arrival. Properties care because an answered question on the phone can become a booking, and an overnight front desk is hard to staff.
On September 24, 2026, Dextr announced a $6.7 million seed round led by Elevation Capital, with Foundation Capital participating, its first institutional financing (Crunchbase News). The company says the agents handle more than 1 million interactions a month across hundreds of hotels, from a 21-room property to one with 550 rooms, including independent hotels and properties under the Hilton, Wyndham, Best Western, and IHG brands, plus reservation centers, vacation rentals, and outdoor hospitality. One large hotel books $100,000 to $300,000 a month through the voice agent. Integrations include Oracle Hospitality, OPERA Cloud, StayNtouch, Cloudbeds, and Hostaway. The team grew from three people to 21. Shariff estimated an overnight front-desk shift at $70,000 to $80,000 a year in a market such as California. He said annual recurring revenue has been growing about 20 to 30 percent month over month, and he declined to give the revenue, profit, or valuation (Crunchbase News).

Who it’s for
Good fit
- Independent hotels and branded properties whose owners will buy direct
- Operators who want the phone line to produce bookings
- Teams that already run Opera, Cloudbeds, StayNtouch, or Hostaway
Poor fit
- A hotel group that will not let an outside engineer into the property systems
- Buyers who need one agent and nothing else
- Properties that only want a web chat bubble
Review Excerpts
Below are excerpts from public reviews and coverage. Paid reviews and pay-for-play sites such as Clutch were excluded.
“In a space where most AI companies are still searching for product-market fit, Dextr had customers, zero churn, and a clear ROI story.”
“We put Daisy on the reservation line and Alfred on guest messages, and the front desk talks to Doss by text when a housekeeping decline should change the schedule.”
“Dextr still sends engineers to sit with each property, because the reservation desk and the staffing rules are different everywhere. I cannot turn this on from a settings page over a weekend.”
