DCVC
DCVC is a venture capital firm that describes itself as deep tech venture capital and has backed companies working on hard technical problems since 2010. Its AI investments run from a seed round for a new model lab to a large financing for a chip company it first backed in 2016.
In AI hardware, DCVC first invested in Mythic in 2016 because the company was building analog compute-in-memory chips, which do calculations inside the memory that holds a model so less energy goes into moving data around.
