Why watch

Ganatra watched nearly half a startup's engineers get stuck on integrations, and built Composio so AI agents can connect to more than 1,500 apps through one platform.

Soham Ganatra is co-founder and CEO of Composio, a San Francisco, California, company founded in 2023 that gives AI agents secure access to more than 1,500 apps, handling sign-in and actions so developers can ship faster.

Meeting Karan Vaidya at Olympiad Camp

Ganatra met his co-founder, Karan Vaidya, at a Physics Olympiad camp, and the two later became roommates at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, according to Lightspeed. He earned a B.Tech in computer science there, his Step conference profile says.

Working on Integrations at Bureau

He co-founded Cogno AI and was a founding engineer at Bureau. At his previous startup, he told Forbes India, the team collected risk and fraud data from many sources, and at any given time nearly half the engineers were working on integrations. Lightspeed wrote that both founders had led engineering teams focused on integrations, at employers that included Nirvana and Rubrik.

Starting Composio in 2023

Rapid gains in code-generation models convinced him in 2023 that software-to-software communication could be automated. Composio first set out to use language models to automate coding agents, then turned to the larger problem of connecting agents to apps. Ganatra now argues that agents fail in production because they do not learn from experience, and Composio is building a shared layer that passes fixes one agent learns to others. He appeared on Forbes India's 30 Under 30 list for 2026.
