Why watch

Victoroff and his co-founders bet that the hardest enterprise data lives in contracts and claims, not neat forms, and they built Indico Data so companies can turn that unstructured pile into decisions.

Slater Victoroff is co-founder and chief technology officer of Indico Data, a company that helps enterprises extract decisions from unstructured documents such as contracts, claims and submissions. He co-founded Indico with Diana Yuan and Madison May and remains CTO while Tom Wilde serves as CEO.

Betting on Messy Documents Instead of Clean Forms

Indico was founded on the idea that the most valuable enterprise data is often the hardest to use, according to the Indico about page. While older automation tools chased simple forms, the founders focused on unstructured content that drives insurance and other document-heavy operations.

Landing on the Forbes 30 Under 30 List

In late 2021 Indico announced that Victoroff, Yuan and May had all been named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for their work on AI that turns unstructured data into business insight. "Since the days of late-night coding sessions in a Cambridge apartment, we have known we were embarking on a life-changing journey," Victoroff said in the company announcement, describing the recognition as covering both Indico and broader AI and machine-learning contributions.

Staying Technical While the Company Professionalized

As CTO he has stayed on the technical side while the company hired a professional CEO and scaled go-to-market around insurance and other vertical workflows. Indico's public timeline also nods to early generative-AI research ties in the founding circle, but Victoroff's day job remains making unstructured enterprise documents usable for production decisions.
