David Haber

David Haber is co-founder and CEO of Lakera, the AI-security company he started in 2021 with Mateo Rojas-Carulla and Matthias Kraft. Lakera focused on guarding LLMs and agents against jailbreaks and related attacks; in 2025 Check Point agreed to acquire the company while Haber continued leading the AI-security work.

Founding an AI security company in Zurich

Haber and his co-founders launched Lakera to apply security engineering to generative AI failure modes such as prompt injection. The product line grew around guardrails and testing that security and ML teams could run continuously as models and prompts changed.

Joining Check Point

In September 2025 Check Point announced a definitive agreement to acquire Lakera, describing the deal as a way to deliver end-to-end AI security for enterprises. Haber's public notes framed the move as continuing Lakera's mission inside a larger cybersecurity platform.
