LatentView Analytics

Analytics consultingChennai and San Jose
Why watch

Viswanathan founded LatentView in 2006 around a simple obsession with what numbers can do for operators, then grew it from a Chennai analytics shop into a publicly traded AI and analytics consultancy.

Venkat Viswanathan is founder and chairperson of LatentView Analytics, an analytics and AI consultancy with roots in Chennai, India, and a U.S. presence in San Jose, California. He started the firm in 2006 with Pramad Jandhyala and still chairs the business after more than twenty years.

Starting LatentView on a Passion for Numbers

"It's all what you are passionate about. For me, it is numbers and what you can do with it," Viswanathan says on the LatentView about page. He and Jandhyala founded the company to help business leaders use data for decisions rather than slideware, and by 2010 they had landed Microsoft as an early U.S. client after opening a U.S. presence.

Growing Delivery Centers and Industry Awards

Through the 2010s LatentView opened larger delivery centers in Chennai and Bengaluru, expanded in Europe, and collected recognitions from Deloitte, Frost & Sullivan and NASSCOM for analytics and AI work. The firm verticalized its go-to-market and showed up in analyst evaluations such as Forrester's customer-analytics services wave.

Taking an Analytics Firm Public

In 2021 LatentView became the first analytics firm in its peer set to go public, according to the company's history timeline, and later crossed 1,000 employees while launching supply-chain and other industry offerings. Viswanathan remains founder and chairperson, with the company still selling end-to-end analytics and AI programs to large enterprises from India and the United States.
