Kore.ai

Enterprise conversational AISerial founder
Why watch

Koneru had already taken companies through NASDAQ listings and a mobile-platform sale when he founded Kore.ai in 2014 to put conversational AI in front of enterprise customers and employees before the category had a name.

Raj Koneru is founder and chief executive of Kore.ai, an enterprise AI company that builds conversational, generative and agent platforms for large organizations. He is a serial founder who has spent more than three decades building software companies through public listings and acquisitions.

Building Through Every Major Tech Wave

After a master's degree from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, in 1991, he founded or led Intelligroup and SeraNova, both of which went public on NASDAQ, plus the BPO firm iTouchPoint and Kony, a mobile-app platform later acquired by Temenos, according to his Kore.ai leadership bio and a Pulse 2.0 interview. Those years put him through internet, mobile and cloud cycles before AI.

Starting Kore.ai Before Conversational AI Was a Category

He founded Kore.ai in 2014 to build a conversational AI-first platform for enterprises, well before the label was common. "I recognized the potential of AI to transform user experiences early on," he told Pulse 2.0, anticipating both conversational interfaces and later generative models as opportunities for enterprise software.

Scaling Enterprise AI Across Global 2000 Buyers

Under his leadership Kore.ai has reported multiple years of triple-digit revenue growth and raised a large growth round that included FTV Capital and NVIDIA, while selling to hundreds of Global 2000 customers. Koneru also serves on the board of the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum, according to his USISPF director profile, and continues to run Kore.ai as founder and CEO.
