Nils Schneider
Founder and CEO
Instantly
Nils Schneider is founder and CEO of Instantly, a cold-email and outbound platform built around deliverability, multi-inbox sending, and campaign tooling. Based in Switzerland, he grew the company from an agency pain point into software for operators who live in reply rates, without leaning on a classic venture-first narrative.
Zurich economics and agency outbound
He studied business and managerial economics at the University of Zurich. Before Instantly he ran lead-generation work alongside co-founder Raul Kaevand. Both operated agency-style outbound for clients and hit the same ceiling: existing tools charged in ways that got more expensive as you added inboxes, which punished exactly the teams trying to scale sending volume. That unit-economics problem, more than a blank-slate product idea, is what pushed them to build.
Building Instantly for their own agencies
They built Instantly around 2021 first for their own agencies' clients — high-volume sending accounts, warmup, and automation meant to protect deliverability — then realized peers wanted the same stack. An AppSumo launch helped early distribution. In founder writeups about the origin, Kaevand summarized the vendor pain that sparked the build: "We noticed that as soon as we tried to scale, the prices increased instead of decreasing." Schneider stayed close to founder-led sales culture: using Instantly's own email motion, sharing customer wins in communities and social channels, and teaching outbound tactics in public masterclasses.
Deliverability as the product spine
Instantly packages sending infrastructure, inbox rotation and warmup, sequence tooling, and analytics for teams that measure success in replies and meetings booked. As language models improved, AI-assisted sequence writing showed up in the product, but the core bet stayed operational: if mail does not land in the primary inbox, clever copy does not matter. On LinkedIn Schneider writes about deliverability fundamentals as the layer that decides whether an offer is ever seen, keeping the company's public voice close to SPF, warmup, and inbox hygiene rather than growth-hacking slogans.
On bootstrapped, practitioner-led growth
Public positioning stays close to bootstrapped, product-led expansion and the agency origin story — build what you needed when vendors priced scale as punishment. Schneider shows up as a practitioner-CEO who still speaks the language of reply rates and warmup, which matches how Instantly sells to hands-on growth teams. The through-line is operational realism over narrative polish.
