Why watch

Senthamil sold his first company, Kinderlime, and is building Storylane into a demo platform where an AI agent answers buyers' questions when no rep is around.

Nalin Senthamil is co-founder and CEO of Storylane, a San Francisco company that makes interactive product demos. He started it in 2021 with Akash Bansal, and the company went through Y Combinator's Summer 2021 batch.

Building Recognition Software at Amazon

Before Storylane he spent more than 15 years in machine learning and product engineering, according to his Y Combinator profile. He built the first product recognition app for Amazon and was granted many patents, then served as CTO at DAQRI, an augmented reality wearables company, where he led teams of more than 150 people.

Co-founding Kinderlime with Akash Bansal

He and Bansal co-founded Kinderlime, an early education platform for preschools, which Warburg Pincus acquired in 2019. On the Inspired Insider podcast in 2024 he talked through lessons from that sale and from finding Storylane's first customers.

Adding an AI Agent to Storylane

Storylane began as a no-code tool for capturing software and publishing guided demos in minutes. It has since added sandbox demos, buyer hubs, and RepX, an AI agent that answers buyer questions inside a demo and hands qualified leads to sales.
