Joseph Lee is co-founder and CEO of Supademo, a New York company that makes interactive demos and walkthroughs. He founded it in 2023 with Koushik Marka.
Running Freshline for Six Years
For six years before Supademo, he ran Freshline, a startup at the intersection of food distribution and technology, according to his Starter Story interview. There he spent hours scripting, re-recording, and editing videos to explain single features. Marka had the same problem from the production side while running a creative agency that made explainer videos.
Building Supademo with Koushik Marka
The pair decided the world did not need another video tool and built something that feels like a live walkthrough but can be edited and scaled. Supademo's about page says more than 200,000 professionals at over 3,000 paying organizations in more than 100 countries use it, including teams at Siemens, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and DHL. He also writes openly about the company's growth on its blog.
