Meiners built Peec AI's first version in a day and a half and priced it far below rivals, and the Berlin tool now shows thousands of marketing teams how ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity talk about their brands.
Marius Meiners is co-founder and CEO of Peec AI, a Berlin, Germany, company that tracks how AI search tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini mention, rank and describe brands.

He studied economics and then worked in venture capital and M&A at PwC, according to The SaaS Podcast. He later joined Antler's Berlin program, where he went through several startup ideas without a team and had not written code in four years.
Betting on AI Search in Berlin, Germany
When ChatGPT launched search in late October 2024, he decided the change would reshape how brands get found. He built a first version with V0 in a day and a half and signed eight letters of intent before writing production code. Peec AI went live in February 2025.
Pricing Below Rivals in 2025
Rival tools charged more than $500 a month, and he set Peec AI's price at a fraction of that to reach mid-market teams. For six months he and the team lived on cheap canned food while they waited to see if the bet would pay off. By April 2026 the company reported $8.6 million in annual recurring revenue, more than 2,000 customers and a team of 55, and he said 20% of Peec AI's own conversions now come through AI search.
