Why watch

Einy is building Port so engineering orgs get a governed service catalog and self-service portal - the control plane AI coding agents need as much as humans do.

Zohar Einy is co-founder and CEO of Port, the internal developer portal company behind getport.io. A former Israeli military platform engineer who later worked in venture and co-founded MLOps company Aporia, he is known for betting that every engineering org needs a living catalog of services, scorecards, and self-service actions.

8200, venture, Rookout, and Aporia

Einy served as a platform engineer in Unit 8200, where he and co-founder Yonatan Boguslavski built an in-house developer portal. He later joined TLV Partners on a developer-centric investment team, was an early employee at Rookout, and co-founded Aporia, an ML monitoring company, where he served as CTO before focusing on Port.

Building Port as an IDP

Port packages service catalogs, scorecards, self-service actions, and - more recently - agentic software-delivery context into one portal. Company materials describe helping engineering teams deliver as fast as technology allows while staying under control, including mapping environments into a live context lake and governing agent workflows. Einy writes and speaks as CEO on developer portals and platform engineering.

On portals as the SDLC control plane

Public positioning treats the portal as the place ownership, standards, and AI agents meet. The product story stays on giving platform teams a system developers will open, rather than another wiki that goes stale.
