Home / Founders / Ivan Burazin
Burazin has worked on cloud development tools since co-founding Codeanywhere in 2009, and Daytona turns that experience into fast, stateful sandboxes for AI agents.
Ivan Burazin is co-founder and CEO of Daytona, which runs sandboxes where AI agents execute code, use desktops, and keep state across long tasks. He co-founded the company with Vedran Jukić and Goran Draganić.
Starting Codeanywhere in 2009
His work in developer tools began when he co-founded Codeanywhere in 2009, he told Pulse 2.0. Daytona's about page calls Codeanywhere one of the first cloud development platforms.
Founding the Shift Conference
He also founded the Shift developer conference, which he said grew into a leading global event. After he was hired by Infobip, he served as the company's Chief Developer Experience Officer.
Closing the First Customer
Daytona started in 2023 as a self-hosted development environment manager for enterprises, after large companies asked for one. Closing that first customer was "probably the most exciting part" of the ride, he told Pulse 2.0. The company later moved into secure runtimes for AI-generated code, and in a 2026 post he wrote that Daytona reached a $1M forward revenue run rate in under three months and doubled it six weeks later.
