Co-founder and CEO

GrowthBook

Series A Feature flags & experimentation
Why watch McNicoll wants every release to answer a question against your own warehouse data, not a vendor's black-box metrics.

Graham McNicoll is co-founder and CEO of GrowthBook, the open-source feature-flag and experimentation platform he started with Jeremy Dorn in 2020. The two met at Education.com, where McNicoll was CTO and Dorn a software architect, and they credit an experimentation culture there with driving large revenue growth on flat traffic.

Education.com and the experimentation habit

GrowthBook's about page says McNicoll and Dorn unlocked an experimentation culture at Education.com that produced roughly 40% year-over-year revenue growth without needing more traffic. That experience shaped their founding beliefs: ship behind flags, treat changes as experiments, and measure teams on KPIs rather than feature count.

Warehouse-native open source

In 2020 they founded GrowthBook as a warehouse-native, open-source stack for flags, experiments, and product analytics. As CEO McNicoll has kept the public story on measuring against data companies already own, including high-profile users such as Dropbox and Wikimedia in company materials.
