Data quality Growth
Shmukler is bringing product-and-growth instincts from LinkedIn, Wealthfront, and Instacart to Anomalo's bet that AI can catch unknown data bugs before dashboards lie.
Elliot Shmukler is co-founder and CEO of Anomalo, the autonomous data quality company he started with Jeremy Stanley. A product and growth leader from eBay, LinkedIn, Wealthfront, and Instacart, he is known for turning warehouse data failures he saw at Instacart into a platform that hunts anomalies without hand-written rules for every table.
Growth seats at LinkedIn, Wealthfront, and Instacart
Before founding Anomalo, Shmukler led product work at eBay and LinkedIn, served as VP of Product and Growth at Wealthfront, and was Chief Growth Officer at Instacart, where he worked on profitable growth and geographic expansion. Public interviews describe him as someone who picks ambitious companies carefully and borrows decision habits from poker and A/B testing culture.
Founding Anomalo with Jeremy Stanley
At Instacart he worked closely with Stanley and watched data quality failures stall real initiatives - including a geographic expansion slowed by stale data. Company materials say that pain led them to pioneer AI-based anomaly detection that scales across warehouse and lakehouse tables and surfaces issues humans would not think to write rules for. Anomalo positions itself as continuous monitoring and investigation for analytics and AI pipelines.
On going from executive to zero-to-one founder
On First Round's Executive Function podcast he has talked about the surprises of leaving a large growth seat for early-stage company building, including how to spend time and how to avoid tire-kickers in sales. The through-line is treating data quality as a product problem, not only an engineering checklist.
