Dror Weiss
Co-founder
Tabnine
Dror Weiss is co-founder of Tabnine, the AI coding company he started with Eran Yahav in 2013 (originally as Codota). He served as CEO through Tabnine's rise as an early AI autocomplete and enterprise assistant, including the acquisition of the Tabnine product name, until Tricentis bought the company in 2026.
Codota before the Copilot wave
Weiss came from Panaya, where he moved from engineer to director of technology, then partnered with Yahav on the bet that models could learn from code the way they learn from language. Tabnine's own author bio places the founding in 2013; the company later acquired the Tabnine autocomplete product and took its name, positioning itself years ahead of the broader generative coding boom.
Enterprise context and the Tricentis chapter
As CEO he steered Tabnine toward enterprise-grade assistants and a context engine aimed at private codebases, raising Series A and B capital along the way. In July 2026 Tricentis acquired Tabnine; Weiss publicly closed his CEO chapter and described joining Tricentis to apply that context work to AI-driven software quality.
