Founder and CEO

Ploy

Seed AI marketing & website ops
Why watch Chou built Ploy so a company website can behave like a growth employee that keeps shipping pages, campaigns, and fixes while the team sleeps.

Bryant Chou is founder and CEO of Ploy, an AI growth platform that treats the company website as the hub for marketing operations. After twelve years as co-founder and CTO of Webflow, he launched Ploy out of stealth with a $27 million seed led by First Round Capital and Y Combinator, aiming to put agent swarms on page design, copy, campaigns, and CRM sync.

Twelve years building Webflow

On his personal site Chou writes that he spent twelve years as co-founder and CTO of Webflow, helping take it from zero to powering a meaningful share of active websites. Before that he was CTO at Vungle and an engineer at Intuit. He has said he left Webflow fulfilled that people could design sites without code, then turned to a harder follow-on problem: making those sites keep working as growth engines instead of static brochures.

Founding Ploy

Ploy's Spring 2026 YC profile and launch materials describe a product that "slurps" an existing site, learns brand and components, then runs marketing plays such as ABM pages, SEO work, and redesigns under the customer's domain. Early public customers named in the launch release include Hex and Clay, plus agencies running client sites on the platform. Chou told PR Newswire: "Ploy closes the gap between having an idea and seeing it live. The landing page for a conference, the ABM page for a key account, the campaign you never had bandwidth for - those just happen now."

On websites that stay alive

He argues the website matters more as answer engines and agents browse on a customer's behalf, because it is still the surface a company fully owns. "When answer engines summarize your content and agents browse on your customers' behalf, your website is the one thing you fully own," he said in the same launch release. "But it can't be a brochure you ship and forget - it has to be alive." That always-on website thesis is the reason to watch him in the AI marketing layer.
