Zapier

Automation platform that connects SaaS apps and now layers AI steps onto those connections. Widely used by operations teams.

7.2/10
Overall Score
Conditional recommend

Zapier is the practical glue when an AI step has to land in the tools people already use. Task pricing gets expensive once volume is real, which keeps this a conditional recommend.

Best for

Ops and go-to-market teams that need AI steps inside existing SaaS workflows without a full integration build.

Not ideal for

High-volume, latency-sensitive pipelines, or teams that already run a serious iPaaS with engineers on it.

Verdict

Buy Zapier when the job is to move a record, draft, or ticket between apps and add a model step in the middle. The connector catalog is the product. Task-based pricing should be modeled on a real month of runs before you commit a department to it. Skip it for warehouse-scale data movement or for agent systems that need tight control over retries, secrets, and evals.
