DeepIP
AI patent drafting and prosecution platform that works inside Microsoft Word, used by law firms and in-house patent teams.
Patent prosecution teams at law firms and companies that draft in Word and want help with specifications, figure descriptions, and office action responses.
IP litigators who mainly need infringement claim charts, or solo practitioners who want a small published monthly price.
Verdict
DeepIP is an AI patent platform with offices in New York and Paris, started in 2024 by the founders of Kili Technology, a data labeling company. Patent attorneys use it as a Word add-in to turn invention disclosures and claims into full applications, write figure descriptions and summaries, and draft responses to office actions in their own firm's style. It is worth a look because so much patent work still happens in Word, and DeepIP brings the AI to that document instead of asking attorneys to move their drafts somewhere else.

Review Excerpts
Below are excerpts from public reviews. Our team scoured public reviews, forums, and chat rooms to get a balanced view of customers' experience with this company. Paid reviews and pay-for-play sites such as Clutch were excluded.
“Having to spend 30 minutes or an hour converting the claims into summary paragraphs, or writing a brief description for each drawing... when you have 5–10 drawings it's not that big of a deal, but if you have an application with 200 pages of drawings, it adds up.”
“The main thing is just getting a lot of that tedium out of the drafting process so that I can focus on the actual intellectual work of writing an application.”
“It writes a decent first draft of the spec, but I still read every paragraph before it goes out. A couple of times it described a figure in a way that didn't match the drawing, and I only caught it on review.”
