Milos Rusic is co-founder and CEO of deepset, the company behind the Haystack framework for NLP and retrieval-augmented applications. With Malte Pietsch he built an open core that enterprises use to assemble search and QA systems on their own documents.

deepset's identity is tied to Haystack: pipelines for document stores, retrievers, and readers that developers compose instead of buying a sealed black box. Rusic's company portrait and about page present him as the CEO face of that open-source-plus-platform motion.

Enterprise platform around the framework

Commercial products wrap Haystack with hosting, collaboration, and support for larger buyers. Funding through Series B levels funded that enterprise layer while the framework stayed the community magnet.
