AI search Ex-Lyft

Why watch

Mizrahi is building Linkup to give AI products accurate, cheap web search, with an eye on paying the publishers whose content agents read.

Philippe Mizrahi is co-founder and CEO of Linkup, a web search company in Paris, France, that sells a search API to AI companies. He started it in 2024 with Boris Toledano, chief operating officer and a former McKinsey consultant, and Denis Charrier, chief technology officer, who built one of Europe's first vector search engines at Niland before Spotify acquired it. Linkup also has teams in New York and San Francisco.

Search at Lyft

Mizrahi got into search at Lyft, where he worked on Amundsen, an internal tool for finding datasets, he said on the AI Stories podcast. Linkup's API launched in late 2024. “Google Search revolutionized how humans access information on the internet over the past 20 years. We're now building that same foundational capability for AI systems,” he said in a 2026 announcement.

A fairer web for agents

Mizrahi has argued that AI agents will change how the web pays for itself. “The Internet was designed to facilitate information access for humans. Soon, AI agents will do this on our behalf,” he said when Seedcamp backed Linkup. He wants a model where content providers “are fairly compensated.”
