Suski is pushing SEO tooling past keyword lists into content systems that help teams win visibility in both classic search and AI answers.
Lucjan Suski is co-founder and chief executive of Surfer, an SEO content intelligence company that helps teams research keywords, write, and optimize pages for search. He co-founded Surfer with his brother Michał Suski and three other co-founders after building an on-page optimization prototype for a marketing agency.
Working as a Product Engineer Before Surfer
Suski spent years as a product engineer at startups and grew frustrated that SEO software lagged the UX he saw elsewhere, as he told Unite.AI. In 2016 his brother Michał joined an agency as an SEO specialist and later became head of SEO, and the daily ranking problems he described pointed Suski toward a tool that scored on-page factors automatically.
Building Surfer from an Agency Prototype
Within weeks he shipped a prototype the agency adopted, then turned it into Surfer with Michał, Sławomir Czajkowski, Tomasz Niezgoda, and Kazimierz Piętka. The product widened from on-page scoring into keyword research, content editors, and topical maps aimed at helping teams become authorities in a niche rather than chasing single keywords.
Joining Positive After Bootstrapped Growth
Surfer grew for years on customer revenue rather than a classic venture path, according to 1stpage Agency. Reporting in 2026 described Surfer joining Positive Group, a test of whether founder-led SEO tooling can keep its product edge inside a larger marketing software family.
Personal Life
Suski works with Surfer from Poland. Public interviews emphasize building SEO products with his brother Michał and treating search visibility as a product craft rather than a black box.
