Home / Founders / Honey Mittal
Mittal is pushing Locofy to sit inside the Figma and frontend stacks teams already use, so agencies get production code instead of another design tool to learn.
Honey Mittal is co-founder and chief executive of Locofy, a design-to-code company in Singapore. He leads Locofy with co-founder Sohaib Muhammad, who serves as chief architect.
Choosing Computer Science at NUS
Mittal has said he originally wanted to join the Indian Air Force, then took a computer science scholarship at the National University of Singapore when other paths did not come with a scholarship, according to a 2024 Unite.AI interview. His interest in building products deepened late in university after an award-winning project on exchange at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an internship at Microsoft.
Leading Product at Homage before Locofy
Before Locofy he was chief product officer at Homage, Finaccel, and Wego during their early and growth stages. He met Muhammad in 2014 and has described him as the stronger engineer of the pair in the same interview.
Building Locofy for Figma Workflows
Locofy converts Figma and other design files into frontend code for web and mobile, with plugins that keep teams in tools they already use. Mittal's pitch is speed: builders ship interfaces faster without abandoning their design system or framework choices, as described on Locofy's authors page and in the Unite.AI interview.
