Bobby Pinero

Bobby Pinero is co-founder and chief executive of Equals, a spreadsheet that connects to a company’s live data. He grew up in Washington, D.C., and was the eighth employee and later head of finance at Intercom, according to Datacast.

Early Days in Washington, D.C.

He attended St. Albans School in Washington and studied management science and engineering at Stanford University, where he first became interested in starting companies. He began his career as a financial analyst at IBM and then at Inflection.

Head of Finance at Intercom

He joined Intercom in 2013, soon after its Series A, and became its head of finance. In a 2016 talk, Scaling Analytics at Intercom, he described how the company built up its analytics as it grew.

Co-founding Equals

He started Equals with Ben McRedmond to build what he calls a next-generation spreadsheet, one that connects to live data so finance and analytics teams can work from current numbers. Equals raised a $16 million Series A from Andreessen Horowitz in November 2022.
