Superhuman

Series B+ AI email assistants
Why watch Vohra treats email as a product design problem: speed, keyboard craft, and now AI that keeps humans in control of the inbox.

Rahul Vohra is founder and CEO of Superhuman, the premium email client built around speed, shortcuts, and a carefully designed daily workflow. After selling Rapportive to LinkedIn he started Superhuman to rebuild email for people who live in their inbox; the product later added AI features and, following Grammarly's acquisition, continued under the Superhuman brand.

Rapportive to Superhuman

Vohra's earlier company Rapportive layered social context onto Gmail and was acquired by LinkedIn. Superhuman began as a bet that email deserved the same product intensity as a consumer app: invite-only onboarding, split-second performance goals, and a keyboard-first interface that power users would pay for.

Design obsession and AI in the inbox

In essays and talks he has described product-market fit as something you measure in enthusiasm, not vanity signups, and he kept Superhuman positioned as a craft tool rather than a free webmail clone. As language models matured, the company folded AI into triage and drafting while keeping the core promise of a fast, intentional inbox — a line that survived the Grammarly deal as Superhuman Mail inside a broader Superhuman productivity brand.
