Dwyer is rebuilding user research software so product teams can recruit participants, run studies, and keep findings in one place.
Ned Dwyer is co-founder and chief executive of Great Question, a UX research platform that combines participant recruitment, a research CRM, studies, and an AI-powered repository.
Founding Elto in Australia
With PJ Murray he founded Tweaky in 2012, a marketplace connecting small businesses with web developers that was later renamed Elto. It raised under a million dollars from angels and Australian fund Blackbird Ventures before GoDaddy acquired it in 2015, as TechCrunch reported.
Moving to San Francisco in 2014
Dwyer moved from Melbourne to San Francisco in 2014, a move he expected to be temporary, according to his personal site. He and Murray reunited to start Great Question, with Dwyer as chief executive and Murray as chief technology officer, to help teams run interviews, surveys, and prototype tests with their own customers.
Rebuilding for AI
Great Question raised a $13 million Series A led by Inovia Capital in November 2025, per the company's announcement. Dwyer has said the team is now rebuilding the whole product for the AI-native era, including AI moderation and responsible-use controls for research data.
Personal Life
Dwyer is Australian and lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is married to Megan, has family in Melbourne, and goes on long runs in the Presidio.
