Tedaldi is unifying calendars and task lists so people stop planning their day across five apps that never talk to each other.
David Tedaldi is co-founder and chief executive of Morgen, an AI-powered daily planning calendar based in Zurich, Switzerland. He co-founded the company with Marco Ancona and Markus Gross after years of side projects that started as MineTime.
Building With Marco Ancona After High School
Tedaldi and Ancona became friends while trying a software venture right after high school that did not go anywhere, as he told Ness Labs. Years later they shared an apartment, still shipping side projects beside day jobs, while Tedaldi worked in research and development for a major U.S. tech company and Ancona pursued a PhD on AI scheduling at ETH Zurich.
Turning MineTime into Morgen
Ancona's research calendar, MineTime, became the precursor. On vacation in Sicily they realized they were still obsessing over how to improve it, shut down a competing health-tech idea, quit their jobs, and rebranded MineTime as Morgen. Startupticker later described Morgen as an ETH spin-off that integrates Outlook, Google, iCal, and task tools into one planner, with Gross, chief scientist of Disney Research Studios and an ETH professor, as a co-founder.
Winning Underserved Calendar Niches
Early growth came from niches rivals ignored, including Linux users and CalDAV setups, while many competitors stayed locked to Google Calendar or Mac-only stacks. Raising a roughly $1 million pre-seed led by VI Partners pushed the team to turn a loyal subscriber base into a broader AI planning product without losing the unified calendar thesis.
Personal Life
Tedaldi leads Morgen from Switzerland. Public interviews emphasize intentional scheduling and the long friendship with Ancona more than private hobbies.
